Sweet little Ted was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer at just eight months old. Despite enduring multiple rounds of chemotherapy and an extensive 11-hour surgery to remove the tumour, the cancer proved too relentless. After bravely facing so much, Ted passed away on April 9th, 2022, at only 16 months old.
In honour of their beloved son’s memory, Ted’s family founded The Little Ted Foundation, inspired by their most cherished moments with him. Through Ted’s legacy, the foundation provides vital support to families across the UK with seriously ill children, as well as bereaved families who have lost a child, offering Grants & Getaways when they need them most.
Every donation helps us to support families with a child in hospital long term with our Help in Hospital Grants, and to put smiles on the faces of seriously ill children with our Memory Making Grants and Getaways.
Whether you would like to relax by the beach, spend time enjoying the countryside or walk mountain trails, The Little Ted Foundation are able to offer you a break to suit your needs, offering you time to relax time, away from the stresses and strains of home life.

The costs associated with being in hospital & caring for a seriously ill child quickly build up. Unexpected costs such as food, car parking & additional fuel, all coming at a time when finances are often already stretched, add further stresses during such worrying times for parents. Our Help in Hospital Grants are available to help alleviate some of the financial pressures associated with a child's stay in hospital of 10 days or more, and likely to remain an inpatient for some time

We are proud to be able to offer families caring for a seriously ill child a grant to pay for a special trip or day out together. Families are often separated for weeks, sometimes months, when a child is seriously ill in hospital. When treatment allows, it is important for them to make the most of every moment together. With our Memory Maker Grants, our aim is to help as many families as possible create priceless memories.
